If you ever even considered the possibility of starting up your own
custom screen printing and embroidery company now is a great time.
Never before in the history of man has there been advantages like
today. Technology has literally changed my life by giving me a huge
edge when it comes to marketing my company that was never available
before. Let’s compare the way business is done today to the way
business was done just 25 years ago. Back in the year 1989 almost no
one even owned a cell phone. You would have to physically be by a land
line with a 6 foot cord in order to simply receive or make a phone
call. You had to drive in to work every morning to a physical location
and be there for 8 to 10 hours then drive home at the end of the
workday. Your customers were normally within a 25 mile radius of your
place of business. Let’s compare that to the way business is done
today. The World Wide Web is literally just that. People get on a
search engine and type in a search term that is relevant, such as St.
Louis screen printing company or St. Louis embroidery company or maybe
even St. Louis T-shirt printing and people see our website. They could
be as far away as St. Charles, MO and it doesn’t make any difference.
They click the online catalog and pick out what type of T-shirt they
are interested in. The next step is to fill out the free quote request
and they e-mail us their artwork along with the quantity of T-shirts
that they are wanting to acquire. We then e-mail them back a quote
that is normally good for up to two weeks and if they decide that they
would like to work with us, that e-mail serves as a record of what was
presented. If our potential customer would like to talk to a member of
our staff, the phone call is forwarded to a cell phone. Therefore it
is not necessary that a staff member be in a physical location in
order to receive the call. One could literally be on a golf course or
a beautiful beach and as long as you can receive a cell phone signal,
it wouldn’t make any difference. To sum it up, it’s amazing the
advantages that have presented themselves over the last 25 years when
you compare the conventional way of doing business back then to the
way things are done today. When it comes to modern day technology, you
can either get on board or get left behind.
